What Salesforce Architect postings look for
Architect postings ask for judgement at scale: solution and technical architecture across several teams, integration patterns, data architecture for large data volumes, the sharing model, and the governance and release process that keep an org healthy. Several of the architect postings we reviewed also asked for hands-on depth in Apex and Lightning Web Components, so an architect resume that drops all technical detail can undersell you.
Most domain architect certifications gained a "Platform" prefix in July 2025: Data Architect is now Platform Data Architect, and the same applies to Sharing and Visibility, Integration, Identity and Access Management, and Development Lifecycle and Deployment. Application Architect, System Architect and Certified Technical Architect (CTA) kept their names.
Product names moved too. Data Cloud was renamed Data 360 at Dreamforce in October 2025, so you will see both in postings, and the checker matches both.

Which architect certifications were renamed?
In July 2025, Data Architect became Platform Data Architect, and Sharing and Visibility, Integration, Identity and Access Management, and Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect all gained the "Platform" prefix. Application Architect, System Architect and CTA kept their names. B2B Solution Architect retires on 1 February 2027.
Should I write Data Cloud or Data 360?
Use the posting's term. Data Cloud was renamed Data 360 in October 2025, and postings use both. If your resume uses the other name, add it once in brackets.
How hands-on should an architect resume be?
Enough to show you can review code and designs. Architect postings often list Apex and Lightning Web Components alongside integration and data design, so keep one or two technical bullets even in senior roles.
